This class will be a mix of live and recorded lectures/discussions, with about half of class sessions being live and half being on your own pace. You will be expected to attend all live sessions (via Zoom meeting) and complete all videos and assignments by 11:59pm each Monday.

You can see the syllabus here and the schedule of assignments here. I may adjust the schedule of topics and assignments if circumstances force us to change for whatever reason.

All Zoom classes will be held in my personal Zoom room, https://umsystem.zoom.us/j/5577721112 . The Password is "emerging". I will also be there for my office hours. Our live classes are currently scheduled for the following dates: August 24, August 31, September 9, September 16, September 30, October 7, October 14, October 21, October 28, November 4, November 11, November 18, November 30. Videos will be posted by 8 am the day of the scheduled video (earlier if they're ready).

You should have received a separate invitation to TopHat, which will contain our course readings plus in-class interaction and questions to go with your reading.
